an innocent and often mischievous — we might even say provocative — approach, his playful, vividly colourful style stood out as evidence of his unrestrained and fresh creativity, a far cry from the prevailing design ideals of the time.

This book is the fruit of research, meetings and interviews with his closest friends, and of a quasi-archaeological study of the thousands of documents Vittorio left behind.
