Named one of Brodart's Best of the Stacks.

A heartwarming picture book that celebrates Puerto Rican culture, family traditions, and the universal search for belonging—perfect for bicultural and bilingual families everywhere.

Everything is different on the island—the language, the flavors, even the dance steps! Luna wants to feel at home with her familia. But what if their differences are stronger than what they share?

A story of identity, belonging, and the love that connects families across cultures and generations, The Same Luna explores the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in a seamless blend of English and Spanish words. With rich descriptions from Christine Rivera Creque and playful illustrations from Nathalia Rivera, readers are transported into a colorful world where two cultures, two traditions, and two languages meet.

Perfect for bilingual families, classrooms, and storytimes, this sweet picture book helps children celebrate their heritage, embrace diversity, and remember that no matter where they are or what language they speak, they are always loved. Because in the end, Luna is still the same Luna.
