Ominous shadows. Dark, rain-drenched streets. A hard-boiled detective in his trench coat. That's the magic and atmosphere of film noir—and the fun behind this unique, interconnected book of puzzles. Meet Larry Logic, a small-town cop with detective skills to rival Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe—except Larry solves crimes using keen logical reasoning instead of his fists. Solvers can test their own abilities as they help Larry crack his cases. Each group of puzzles tells a mini-story in which all the answers combine into one final whodunit. See if you have what it takes to solve alongside Larry Logic!
Dan Katz lives in Providence, RI, where he teaches and coordinates calculus courses at Brown University. Katz has written puzzlehunt puzzles for the MIT Mystery Hunt, the Gen Con Puzzle Hunt, and BAPHL. His puzzles have also appeared in Wired, MAA Focus, and Games World of Puzzles. His most notorious gift to the puzzling community is the follow-the-deranged-directions puzzle format known as the Duck Konundrum, for which he sincerely apologizes. This is his first puzzle book.
