Summary

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Three sisters in Berlin. Some fashion galleries. One promise for the future.

Berlin, May 1945: it is zero hour, the city is in ruins, as are the souls of its people. The Thalheim am Ku'damm department store has been completely destroyed. Rike, Silvie and Florentine, the three sisters who inherited the business, stare in horror and petrified at the ruins of what was once the pride of the family. But Rike is unwilling to live amongst the rubble. She has a project in mind and is ready to do whatever it takes to carry it out: to rebuild the department store and bring some color to a sad post-war Berlin with refined fabrics, pastel colors, and the latest fashion creations.

After the currency reform, people began to feel like spending money again and take part in what seemed like a new economic miracle; as they also longed to forget the war and all its misery. However, the new times still dragged problems from the past, and when a dark secret seems to cast a shadow on the fashion galleries and their history, the three sisters will realize that the past is still very much alive.
