The plot tells about the passion between an overpowering teenager and a film critic many years her elder, but the subject matter is not the corruption of innocence, much less the abuse of power. Going along to the rhythm of Cuban music and a wealth of cinematographic references, the author dives into the depths of desire to narrate an impossible amour fou that finds its counterpoint in an energetic and vigorous use of language.
