Summary

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

A surprising love. An incomprehensible breakup. Two sides of the same coin. How can a love so glowing and happy turn into violence and shame, into an absence that wounds?

The anonymous protagonist of this novel has been expelled from the life of her loved one. Living in a happy and stable relationship with a man, she discovered the true and more complete love of a woman. Without thinking twice, she took a risk and threw herself into a romance that would last for more than a decade. But happiness didn't let her see that one day the breakup would come and that it wouldn't just bring loneliness, but also a profound fear. Fear because the person she loves can now turn into her worst enemy. A present fear that reminds her of past fears: exiles, disappearances, violence. Her fears and other people's fears. Alone, enclosed in her thoughts, she remembers scenes from the past. The happiness of the past doesn't comfort her: it wounds her with subtlety. The memories hurt, the photos are now pieces of memories. Pieces that she has to pick up and put away in order to move forward.
