'Globalization' and 'nation' provide perhaps the most significant contexts, concepts and processes that inform educational thinking and practice today. King Man Chong is Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences and a Research Fellow of the Centre for Governance and Citizenship at The Hong Kong Institute of Education, Hong Kong.

Ian Davies is Professor of Education at the University of York, UK. He is also Director of the Graduate School in Education, Director of the Centre for Research on Education and Social Justice and Deputy Head of the Department of Education.

Terrie Epstein is a Professor of Education at Hunter College and the Graduate Center, City University of New York, USA.

Andrew Peterson is Senior Lecturer in History and Civic Education at the University of South Australia, Australia.

Carla L. Peck is Associate Professor of Social Studies Education in the Department of Elementary Education at the University of Alberta, Canada.

Alistair Ross is Jean Monnet Professor of Citizenship Education and an Emeritus Professor of London Metropolitan University, UK. He established and directed an EU thematic network, Children's Identity and Citizenship in Europe from 1988 – 2008, linking 100 universities in 26 countries.

Alan Sears is Professor of Education at the University of New Brunswick, Canada.

Maria Auxiliadora Moreira dos Santos Schmidt is Associate Professor of the Universidade Federal do Paraná, Brazil.

Debbie Sonu is an Assistant Professor of Education in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at Hunter College, City University of New York, USA.
