A follow-up to the successful Princeton Architectural Press book The Green House, The Passive House is smart collection of recent passive house projects that illustrate the design and thinking behind the vanguard of architects, engineers, and forward-thinking clients who are working to design high-performing, beautiful residential buildings. These houses, energy-efficient, very well insulated, and virtually airtight, represent the future as our society moves towards carbon neutrality and treading lighter on the Earth. Projects featured in the book are located primarily in the United States, with houses in France, Japan, Canada, Belgium, and Switzerland also represented. Each case study includes plans, photographs, and a detailed project description. An appendix lists useful technical information.
