This juvenile justice text will introduce a wide range of topics in juvenile justice that are under-explored in the US. The themes will include: moral panics promoted by the media and associated with youth delinquency: violence; restorative justice for youth; studies of the experience of a juvenile institution, forms of youth culture that have been criminalized, such as graffiti, street performances and activities like skateboarding. There will be a focus on comparative juvenile justice, reflecting the increasing globalization of issues and concerns relating to juveniles.
