Tony Cragg is one of the world's most influential sculptors of his generation. By collecting, organising and joining materials which he finds around him, Cragg thematises the various relationships of man to his environment.From the early 1980s until today, Cragg has been working with marble, wood, glass, bronze and fiberglass and converted his sculptural language, from the figurative to complex abstractions.In this catalogue published on the occasion of the exhibition at kestnergesellschaft, Hannover, 14 September 4 November 2012, a combination of recent works and a selection of earlier works by the artist are presented.
