Whilst the upper end of boat size is a booming market, there is concern at the lower end about how the cost of boating is escalating. This new Sailmate title looks at the major areas of expenditure (boat purchase, mooring fees, navigation equipment, electronics, antifouling, maintenance, dinghies, outboard engines, safety gear etc.) and examines the range of options available to keep costs under control - and therefore keep owners still sailing/motorboating. The book will contain tables of comparisons (in price ranges not absolutes) and suggest a variety of practical ways of reducing expenditure. The book will be international in its approach and will have co-ed potential.
