GHOST TIME, Courtney Eldridge#146;s YA debut, is propelled by the amazing voice of Thea, a teenager with an artistic bent, whose boyfriend, a young math wiz named Cam, has mysteriously disappeared. Strange things start happening after Cam goes AWOL, and the small-town setting comes to resemble David Lynch#146;s Twin Peaks. The stars have been precisely cut out of the school#146;s American flag; more disturbingly, intimate videos of Cam and Thea--videos she swears they never took--begin appearing online, their resolution improving with every hit. The FBI and other agencies, as well as TV news hosts, pressure Thea for information, but she#146;s even more in the dark about what happened to Cam. She forms an inexplicable telepathic bond with the disabled daughter of one of the agents on the case.
