Michael A. Southam-Gerow, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychology and Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Co-Director of the Anxiety Clinic at VCU, and Director of Graduate Studies for the Department of Psychology. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. Dr. Southam-Gerow's research focuses on the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based treatments for mental health problems in children and adolescents. He also studies treatment integrity, including therapist adherence to and competence in delivering specific treatment models. Dr. Southam-Gerow is the Director of Quality and Performance at PracticeWise, LLC, a company that trains therapists and agencies in evidence-based approaches to children's mental health care. He is the author of dozens of scholarly papers and is on multiple journal review boards.
