Business education today demands more responsible and synergistic approaches on a number of key fronts. Distance learning, a new generation of students with its own unique character, ethical questions concerning social responsibility and the environment, and the powerful effects of new technologies are transforming higher education at large and business education in particular. Through their combined experience in these domains, and their broad diversity in geographical, ethnic, and educational backgrounds, the authors are living and leading constructive interdisciplinary change in business education. Joan Marques is faculty and chair of the BBA Program at Woodbury University's School of Business. She co-founded the Business Renaissance Institute and the Academy for Spirituality and Professional Excellence and published three scholarly journals. She has authored and co-edited nine books, including Managing in the Twenty-first Century (Palgrave, 2011) and Joy at Work, Work at Joy. Satinder Dhiman is professor of Management, associate dean, and director of the MBA Program at Woodbury University's School of Business. He has co-authored various textbooks, including Stories to Tell Your Students (Palgrave, 2011) and The Workplace and Spirituality. He is co-founder of the Business Renaissance Institute and the Academy for Spirituality and Professional Excellence and co-edits three scholarly journals. Svetana Holt has been teaching at Woodbury University since 2004. She has fifteen years' experience in corporate training for performance improvement, business administration, and new curricula design and evaluation. She is a registered practitioner for Mayer-Salovey-Caruso emotional intelligence model of organizational development.
