In the midst of all this turmoil, he finds love, courage and his reason for living.

Jane A. Stallings was a teenager during WWII with her father and uncles serving in Europe. Their diaries and her trips to Italy spurred her interest in that sector of the war. Her main characters are drawn from her four children and from her Stanford University training as a researcher in human development. Jane spent five years in Washington, D.C. researching material for this, her first fiction novel. She currently resides in Walnut Creek, California.
