This brief contributed volume introduces students to the conduct of foreign policy under the Obama administration. The book's twelve original essays share a common theme: to investigate the degree to which Obama's strategy represents a "renewal" of U.S. engagement. Chapters in the first part of the book look at actors and policy formulation and focus on the role of the executive, Congress, public opinion, and interest groups.
