The mission of God was not conceived, constituted, or commissioned by the church or any individual. The mission of God has been revealed by God through the person and work of Christ in His Word. Bruce Ashford is dean of The College and associate professor of philosophy and intercultural studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Before that he lived and worked in the former Soviet Union.

David Nelson is senior vice president for academic administration and dean of the faculty at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he also teaches courses on systematic theology and worship.
