Kay Dennis: Kay Dennis is a stumpwork expert and together with her husband, Michael, runs the company Kay Dennis Stumpwork’. Kay teaches private classes around the country including at branches of the Embroiderers’ Guild. She also works at Hampton Court and for Adult Colleges, including Knuston Hall and Missenden Abbey. In 1997 she began teaching the City & Guilds Stumpwork syllabus at Missenden Abbey and wrote the Level 1 and Level 3 syllabuses. Kay has written three books on Stumpwork, as well as articles for textile related magazines, and in 2001-2 was featured in "Stitch with the Embroiderers’ Guild". Kay also takes on commissions: at the end of 2009 she was asked by the National Trust in Wiltshire to reproduce six motifs from two mirror frames held at Lytes Carey Manor House in Somerton, and in 2011 she was asked by the Embroiderers' Guild to produce a series of twelve folios on Stumpwork.
