Playing Time first looks at black youths’ love for basketball—their passion is innocent and naive. The author describes all the people and companies that view black ballplayers as another meal ticket, and unfortunately, some parents are also contributors to this abuse. There are a large number of coaches at every grade level— including colleges—that take advantage of black ballplayers, and the AAU and sports companies are the worst.
