An enchanting story about a child whose life is forever changed when he gets a pair of eyeglasses.

Octavio hasn’t been able to see well for some time. Until today. Today he got glasses, and now he sees everything differently. Everywhere he goes, Octavio can see things clearly, whether they are far away or close by. He even can see things when it’s dark! But best of all are the extraordinary things Octavio sees in the pages of his storybooks. Entire worlds open up for him there. And his imagination is set free to travel far and wide.

In his picture book debut, Marc González Rossell takes an artful, positive approach to a child’s experience of needing glasses. A celebration of the joys of being able to see clearly, this book is ultimately about the wondrous and transformative power of stories. It’s sure to be a bedtime favorite that children will want to read again and again.
