Summary

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

This is Oshinica’s story, and her struggle to discover her true self beyond her family’s expectations of her.

Like a Bride tells the intimate story that Oshinica, a young Sephardic woman in Mexico of the 1950’s, writes in her diary. In that journal she will pen her desires, fears, and anxieties, as she grows and is groomed to one day become a housewife. But, as time passes and her family continues to get her ready, Oshinica discovers there is a whole new world in school and begins to wonder if there is another possible way of life for her and for the women around her. Will she accept her future or will she change her life path?.
