Individual chapters concentrate on specific waste water treatment processes, detailing the chemical and engineering principles behind the process, and further illustrating process implementation by the use of process flow diagrams, photographs and case studies. Two introductory chapters give an overview of current European & US legislation and provide an introduction to a number of typical waste water treatment works via photographs and process flow diagrams.
