Summary
Me reí.
ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
Dear reader, you have to be from Coronel Pringles, and run in the right circles, to know how hard it is to write a back cover, because the back cover of a book is always opposing the front cover. Without getting into detail, I know it. But for some reason, I find myself frivolously obliged to tell you how this whole tale ended up happening to me.
For a long time, I translated gothic romance novels full of passion. Eventually, I started to think that I could write one, too. For several weeks, I worked at it. I sweated a bit. I laughed. And upon finishing, it turns out that Ema, my little "Me", had created for me a new passion, the passion for which all others can exchange themselves, like money is exchanged for everything: indifference. What more can I ask for?
The critics have said...
"César Aira is one of the most unclassifiable authors in Latin American narrative today. Unclassifiable for his originality, for his brilliance, for his wisdom in the job of narrating, into which he mixes humor, overwhelming imagination, and sharp reflections." –El Cultural
