Like them, the fourth edition's central focus is strategic case evaluation, not mechanics or tactics. Moreover, this edition still contains a large number of casefiles, covering such topics as workplace sexual harassment, elder abuse, Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, and a civil rights violation involving jail suicide. However, there are important changes in the new edition. The fourth edition discusses the introduction of exhibits in computerized courtrooms and includes a detailed analysis of follow-up voir dire questions. In addition, not only have the existing Evidence coursebook references been updated, but we have also cited the newest coursebooks. Stylistically, almost all the citations that previously appeared in text have been lowered into footnote.
