In the new version of the Windows platform, version 7, many applications have been pulled from the operating system and are being made available for the first time to the audience as free live downloads from the MSFT web site. Together, the suite is called Windows Live Essentials and it includes Windows Live Services (Hotmail, Spaces, etc.).
