Judith A. Cohen, MD, is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and Medical Director of the Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents, Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. With Dr. Mannarino, she has received funding to assess and treat traumatized children since 1986 from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the U.S. Department of Justice. She is a recipient of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC) Outstanding Professional Award and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Rieger Award for Scientific Achievement. Anthony P. Mannarino, PhD, is Director of the Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents and Vice Chair, Department of Psychiatry, Allegheny General Hospital. He is also Professor of Psychiatry at the Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Mannarino has been a leader in the child traumatic stress field for over 25 years. He has received many honors, including the Betty Elmer Outstanding Professional Award, the APSAC Outstanding Article Award for papers published in Child Maltreatment, and the SAMHSA Model Program Award. Dr. Mannarino is a past president of APSAC and of the Section on Child Maltreatment, Division of Child and Family Policy and Practice, American Psychological Association. Esther Deblinger, PhD, is Co-Founder and Co-Director of the CARES (Child Abuse Research Education and Service) Institute and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)–School of Osteopathic Medicine. A longtime collaborator with Drs. Cohen and Mannarino on the development, evaluation, and dissemination of TF-CBT, Dr. Deblinger has published widely on the treatment of child sexual abuse, trauma, and traumatic grief. Her scientific contributions over the past 25 years have been recognized with the APSAC Outstanding Research Career Achievement Award and the Rosenberry Award from the Children's Hospital of Denver, among other honors.
