Tadataka Yamada, MD is President of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Global Health Program, where he leads the foundation’s efforts to apply technological solutions to the healthcare problems of the developing world. Dr. Yamada was chairman of R&D at GlaxoSmithKline from 2001-2006, and joined the company’s Board in 2004. Previously, he was Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School and Physician-in-Chief of the University of Michigan Medical Center.
