Sterling Storiesis a collection of very short stories written by a diverse collection of authors. The twelve-piece anthology was carefully designed to maximize reading and writing abilities using a rich and diverse literature collection. The anthology begins with a sample lesson introducing reading skills, note-taking, and literary terms. Following the sample lesson, the stories are arranged by literary elements, and each story contains pre-reading vocabulary exercises and questions, headnotes, a journal entry worksheet, comprehension quizzes, and writing prompts. Comprehension Quizzes, three per story, test understanding through multiple choice, short answer, and essay questions.
