D. Stanley Eitzen, Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Colorado State University, is coauthor with George Sage of Sociology of North American Sport, 9th ed. forthcoming (Paradigm 2012). Although he is well known for his scholarship on homelessness, poverty, social inequality, power, family, and criminology, he is best known for his contributions to the sociology of sport. He was selected to be a Sports Ethics Fellow at the Institute for International Sport.
