I'm the Sourdough Man, and you can't catch me! Drawn from traditional European and North American versions of the Runaway Pancake and the Gingerbread Man, Alaska children's author ChZrie Stihler and illustrator Barbara Lavallee have collaborated to create the distinctly Alaskan version of this tale. Of course, it's a runaway sourdough loaf that has come to life, and he is eluding all manner of creatures native to the great north including musk ox, lemmings, arctic hares, caribou, marmot and the golden eagle.
