SOCIAL ENVIRONMENTS AND HUMAN BEHAVIOR uses an innovative liberal arts approach to teach social work students the impact of the social environment on human behavior. The text includes readings organized into four modules: groups, communities, organizations, and social movements. Each set of readings brings together theoretical information, research, artistic expression, and practical application to give students a better understanding of the systems in which they will work. Each reading has been chosen to help students connect what they learn in the Human Behavior and the Social Environment course to other courses, as well as to the practice behaviors outlined by the revised Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS) from the Council on Social Work Education.
