Summary

In this title, a general matricial modeling of electrical machines is established. It uses instantaneous quantities and allows to take into account the associations of rotating machines and static converters (variable speed drives) easily. General equations of electromechanical energy conversion are established first and then applied to synchronous, induction, and DC machines. The characteristics are established as well for steady state behavior as for variable speed.
