This book is the result of more than thirty years of teaching by the author of a one semester course in Physical Chemistry to first year students at the University of Toronto. The enrollment varied from 300 to 800 students per year over the years. The book is unique in that it provides the detailed development of the equations, which can be followed relatively easily even if one has only moderate math skills and backgrounds.
