Helen M. Shields, M.D., FACP, AGAF, is an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and a gastroenterologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She received the Best Preclinical Instructor Award from the Harvard Medical School's 2004 and 2007 graduating classes and the Harvard Medical School Faculty Prize for Excellence in Teaching in 1999 and 2008.
