Wiarda is Dean Rusk Professor of International Relations and head of the Department of International Affairs at the University of Georgia, and senior scholar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the author or editor of numerous books, including A Concise Introduction to Latin American Politics and Development (Westview).   Harvey F. Kline is professor of political science at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.
