Stella Revard is professor Emerita of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She has a B.A. from Hunter College, New York; an M.A. in Classics from Washington University, St. Louis; and an M.A. and Ph. D. in English literature from Yale University, New Haven. She is an Honored Scholar of the Milton Society of America, Past President of the Milton Society of America and the International Association for Neo-Latin Studies. She has published more than seventy articles on Renaissance and classical literature and other subjects. She has three books (listed above) and a fourth book forthcoming. Both her books on Milton and an article on musical versions of Paradise Lost won Hanford awards from the Milton Society of America. She continues active in Milton and Neo-Latin studies, participating in the symposia and congresses of both associations.
