This book provides a means of improving the performance of a manufacturing facility based on environmental compliance and potential for profitability. This allows the reader to evaluate materials and processes based on costs for operations and environmental impact. The approach is wide in scope recognizing key organizational functions such as marketing, product design, manufacturing technology, manufacturing management, and human resources. Active involvement from members of each of these functional groups is essential to create a manufacturing facility and then maintain it as an ongoing "green" operation.
