David P. Forsythe is Emeritus Professor at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, where he was Charles J. Mach Distinguished Professor of Political Science. He is the author of numerous International Relations titles, including The Humanitarians: The International Committee of the Red Cross (2005). He is the general editor of Encyclopedia of Human Rights (2009, five vols.), which won the Dartmouth Medal as the best reference work published in the United States that year.
