This book focuses on governance and partnerships as central features linked with sustainable urban renewal. Using detailed international case studies, the book explores the effect of institutional design and modes of governance, the role of relevant stakeholders, the norms and knowledge of underpinning policy processes and evaluates policy outputs, outcomes and best practice. In doing so, the book illustrates where power and decision making lies in the delivery of urban renewal initiatives and examines the roles for communities in the governance process.
