Summary
This is anthology that takes sex and gender as its major organizing theme, but, significantly, looks at these things from a global, transnational perspective. The readings also tie gender to other social identities and inequalities including race, class, sexuality, and nationality. Whilemost sex and gender books are "diverse" in terms of race, class, and sexuality, they are for the most part very U.S.-centered.
