The book covers the complexity of designing the legal framework for homeland security law. The best example of this is in the Critical Infrastructure Protection Chapter, which has approximately 25 sources. Recognize that homeland security involves many specialties and that homeland security law is the unifying core and view homeland security expansively and in the long-term. Finally one of the special features of the book is its topic-by-topic approach. For example, the Homeland Security Act is hundreds of pages long and touches upon many subjects.
