IT organizations within large companies have historically been viewed as a support function, but this has changed as executives recognize the strategic value that IT provides. In turn, this has led to increased pressure on IT executives to manage their organizations as a business. Exploring how to run IT like a business in the context of emerging IT management frameworks, particularly ITILA(R), this text addresses how to put together a service catalog that takes full advantage of industry best practices.
