Colon and Rectal Surgery has been a standard reference for colorectal surgery fellows and practitioners for five editions. It has been mostly or entirely written by Marvin Corman throughout its life, and has been characterized by careful, thorough writing, and an art program that has become more outstanding as editions have rolled on. The sixth edition will be a transitional volume. Corman will continue to write the section on anal surgery (15-20% of the book). The remainder will be written or edited by the all-star team of Vic Fazio (Cleveland Clinic), Bob Beart (USC), John Nichols (St. Marks UK), and Roberto Bergamaschi (Stonybrook). The new edition will be moved to a full color format, and a significant amount of laparoscopic material will be added. The book will come with a Solution site with fully searchable text and a video bank of procedures. Future editions will be headed by Dr. Bergamaschi.
