Colouring the circular designs known as mandalas is a relaxing, meditative activity enjoyed by adults and children alike. The designs in this book, which are associated with being and doing, focus on using mandalas as a way to claim our own truths and to find our way in the world. The being mandalas present a place of balance, integration, and self-realization; these designs are built on the structure of four within a circle, such as designs reminiscent of heraldic shields. The doing mandalas represent action, energy, and functioning in the world; these designs are built on a structure based on the number five, such as five-pointed stars and flowers with five petals. Together, these designs are meant to evoke an understanding of one's personal goals and stimulate the energy to work toward accomplishing them.
