Written for the new case manager, this book is a practical guide for nurses, social workers and others responsible for coordinating and managing the care of the individual patient within the healthcare system. It is also used as a text for graduate level courses and an excellent 'prep' guide for studying to pass the Case Management Certification (CCM) exam. The first author is Editor-in-Chief of Professional Case Management journal, which recently was adopted by the CMSA as their official journal. This revision adds Dr. Hussein Tahan, who is affiliated with case management at New York Presbyterian Hospital and is co-author of the CMSA Core Curriculum along with Suzanne Powell.
