Philip C. Kendall, PhD, ABPP, is Laura H. Carnell Professor of Psychology and Director of the Child and Adolescent Anxiety Disorders Clinic at Temple University. An internationally recognized expert on clinical child and adolescent psychology and clinical psychological research, he is perhaps best known for his development and evaluation of cognitive-behavioral treatments for anxiety in youth. The author or coauthor of over 350 research publications and books, he is currently the Editor of Clinical Psychology: Science and Practice and serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Board of Professional Psychology. He is a past president of Division 53 (Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology) of the American Psychological Association and of the Association for Advancement of Behavior Therapy. Dr. Kendall's contributions to research and teaching have been recognized with several research grants from the National Institute of Mental Health, the "Great Teacher Award" from Temple University, and numerous other awards.
